わさお – a Japanese movie :)

Just finished watching わさお (Wasao) :’) I borrowed the CD from the MOELC library and it is such a great show! The movie is in Japanese, but there are English subtitles so I could understand it hehehe. I did try to listen out for any Japanese vocabulary I have learnt though!
ImageThe pictures in this post were taken from the internet and included so you can have a feel of how cute Wasao (or Shiro) is! He has two names! Shiro (which means white) was his first name and Wasao (which means furry according to the film) was his second name! I’m really horrible at summarising and telling stories, so if you want to know what the show is about, go watch it! It’s such a heart warming tale and leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside :’) All the characters are likeable as well – there aren’t any villains! I really love that it is that way because the characters are so kind and gentle – just like all the Japanese people I have met 🙂 Also, it isn’t set in the bustling city of Tokyo, but rather in the town of Ajigasawa, Aomori. It reminds me so much of my visit to Myoko at the end of last year because there are also big fields and a mountain view!

ImageHere’s a picture of Wasao with his red ball toy which is very significant in the plot!

Okay so I don’t really have much to say about the movie because I can’t reduce such a great great great movie to a simple blog post x) Please watch it! I’m not sure if you can find it online, but if you are able to, leave a comment below so everyone can watch it! 😀 In the meantime, I’m going to keep borrowing Japanese movies from the library. x) And maybe re-watch Wasao over the CNY holidays!
